MEET THE MAKER
Hi, my name is Whitney and I am the hands and heart of Double Rainbow Design.
I am a dope human being, a wife, a mother (to both humans and plants), and a fiber artist. Before finding my true calling, I was a stay at home mom for a number of years, a logistics coordinator for a couple of years, and then again a stay at home mom.
My love for fiber art bloomed in 2018 when my husband and I experienced two miscarriages just months apart. I was looking for a hobby to keep my mind busy during that devastating time and while I was shopping for home decor items one day I came across a macrame wall hanging and said "I could proubably make that". And so I did! I officially opened DRD in February 2019 and haven't looked back since.
My art is heavily inspired by nature and the spirtual realm, and crystals are my jam. I am a self proclaimed crystal witch that is looking to heal the worl through crystal magic and beautiful art.
Along the journey I have tied hundreds of thousands of knots, connected with countless people, fulfilled over a thousand orders, and been featured on sites like Voyager Baltimore and Beyonce.com!!
And most importantly, I have gotten to spread joy through my art time and time again.
